About
Neenah (WI) —>Milwaukee (WI) —>Boulder (CO)
I was born and raised in Northeast Wisconsin, amidst the bitter cold and cheese country. I spent my more formative years being involved in many sports (softball, tennis, swimming, basketball – anything that would get all the energy out!) and learning as many musical instruments as I possibly could! When it came time to choose where to go to college, social justice was a very important feature to have as well as academic competitiveness and a good basketball team. I chose to attend Marquette University, a Jesuit school in Milwaukee, WI – the first time I attended private school. While at Marquette, I majored in American Military History, and quickly realized that graduate school in that field was not going to be me. I enrolled in the business school, and ultimately majored in Business and Human Resources.
After graduation, I made the decision to pick a new spot on the map to move to, and without ever having visited Boulder, selected it as my next destination. What a lucky move because the weather is phenomenal here! I have worked in a variety of disciplines within HR in several different industries including Financial Services, Fast Casual Restaurants, Naturals and Organics, CPG, Oil & Gas, and am currently an HR Manager for Non-Profit Community Mental Health. I entered the MBA program to continue my lifelong interest in learning and explore the possibility of a pivot into Marketing, Product, or FP&A. In my time at Leeds, I’ve participated in various extracurricular events including the Naturals and Organics Case Competition and Women’s Leadership Circles. now I get to pay it back to the CU Boulder and Leeds Community by being a part of the Leeds Technology Team. In my spare time, I love spending time with my cat, hiking with my dog, wildlife photography, trivia, and karaoke.
